What are all of the Parameters that completely define the geometry of a Spur Gear?

Maalik

Question

What are all of the Parameters that completely define the geometry of a Spur Gear:

Currently I have:

  • Number of Teeth
  • Pressure Angle of the teeth
  • Tooth Thickness
  • Tooth Fillet Radius
  • Tooth Surface Roughness
  • Tooth Width
  • Gear Thickness
  • Shaft Hole Diameter
  • Gear Diameter

The problem is I know that a few of these are related by an equation, and hence some are redundant.

Can someone pls help me come up with the minimum list of geometric parameters that completely determine a spur gear's geometry?
