Help to calculate the required RPM for cutter wheel motor

Recommended Posts

Can someone help me to find the required RPM for cutter wheel motor?

the diameter for cutter is: 69.95 inches

 cutter has 4 cutting edge.

The desire finished product should be 0.3cm in length.

The linear speed of the motor is 18.84cm/sec

Hi Hasan

There seems to be somewhat of a contradiction in the items you have put on here...

The cutter seems enormous (1.776m diameter) and has only 4 cutters in place...in order to generate the speed required to have a reasonable cut with this, (I've not calculated anything yet but...) I would estimate that the wheel would shatter under its own internal stresses. Not to mention, why would you use so enormous a cutter when your finished item is 0.3cm...(3mm, or to use the same measurements; 0.003m)

I think - as many have viewed this without comment - there is likely to be an error in the detail. Can you check all the parameters and repost?

Thank you
