Ultrasonic Transducer required specifications

Hello,

I am trying to source multiple ultrasonic transducers for my project. However, I am unable to source them based on the specifications of my application.

My goal for the transducers is to cause agitation in the water of the holding tank and hopefully clean the oil off the machined stainless steel parts.

The dimensions of the tank is 72" L x 24" W x 12" H and holds around 71 gallons of water.

The transducers need to be spaced equally and be fixed to the bottom of the tank.

The problem however is that the transducers I found on the market do not hold enough wattage to power the system. Additionally, with a goal of 50 Watts/gal and 20-30kHz, I would need to get around QTY: 35 of 100 Watt transducers which can be expensive and pose problems connecting them.

Where should I look to source these transducers and what method should I use to determine how many I need for my application?

Hi Mo

I've done a quick search on Alibaba (which - given their marketing vigour - I'll likely be regretting for the next few years...) and they are readily available.

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/28KHz-120W-Clangsonic-Ultrasonic-Transducer-Ultrasonic_60242906206.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_title.22975127P3PU8H

This also matches the frequency you are looking for...this one was 28kHz, 120W.

Alibaba are an international trade platform, and very customer focussed - ie guarantees, refund policies etc.

Hope this helps!

B
