Enderk
Hello fellow engineers, I am looking for an accelerometer and most of them have IEPE output. So, I would like to ask you for a method to read out the data send by the sensor, using Arduino. I have seen IEPE cards which convert IEPE output into the analog voltage, however, they are over my budget. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you have methods to convert that signal to analog 0-5 VDC (maybe a circuit design). Thank you in advance, Ender
G B Reid MIMechE, SIMarEST
A quick search found loads of info, I just grabbed the first: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidud62/tidud62.pdf?ts=1655904727208&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F the search was "IEPE reader"
G B Reid MIMechE, SIMarEST
Enderk, I've had another thought...most smartphones now have very sensitive accelerometers build in. If you download a "physics tool" (normally free) you can see the readouts of these individual sensors within the phone, and should be able to record the outputs - this is "particularly useful" when short of either time or budget! Good luck!
