As the name indicates, Computer Numerical Control or CNC makes use of a numerical program to control a tool or a workpiece, or both. These computer software codes are typically programmed on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) platforms. 

Since its introduction in the 1960s, CNC machines have slowly and steadily emerged as one of the commonest manufacturing and machining processes across industries. Its stellar rise can be attributed to a bunch of advantages and versatility in application, which we are going to discuss in this post. So let’s check it out.
