GKN Aerospace is in charge of a new Swedish national hydrogen propulsion project

Recommended Posts

GKN Aerospace is leading the H2JET national partnership programme in Sweden, which aims to develop technical solutions for three key engine subsystems for medium-range civil aircraft using H2-propulsion. Hydrogen is projected to play a crucial role in aviation's decarbonization strategy because it can efficiently power aircraft while producing only water as a by-product. H2JET focuses on direct combustion, whereas GKN Aerospace's 'H2GEAR' venture, which was launched earlier this year, focuses on generating onboard electrical power via a fuel cell.
